Over 85% of sofas are now mass produced in China, but ours are still hand made in the United States. We use traditional building techniques to ensure every sofa will last a lifetime.

Frames: 
We use four quarter, kiln-dried, hardwood (alder), single piece frames. They are double doweled, glued, blocked at all required stress points, and warrantied for life against squeaking and cracking.

Springs:
We use a state of the art, heavy arched, 8-gauge, spring system. It is secured to the front and back of the frame with coated metal clips to prevent the rub of metal on metal which could otherwise cause squeaking. The springs are bound with paper-coated cross wires for even weight absorption, and spaced a comfortable 3” apart with double rows at each end for extra support in the corners (where most of us gravitate). They are warrantied for life against defect.

Cushions:
We use the best quality foams available; in your choice of soft, medium, or firm comfort levels. For added luxury, we can wrap the foam core in a channeled envelope filled with synthetic down (Trillium) or 10/90 downblend for the level of comfort you desire.

Fabrics:
We go to great lengths to find the most durable and attractive fabrics on the market. All our fabrics can be treated with Guardsman for 10 years of protection against stains, rips, tears, and burns.
